This site is operated by Hyper Orbits Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17386919, whose registered office is at 21 Heatcoat Street, Nottingham NG1 3AF, United Kingdom.

Anything these terms invite you to ask us for - seeds, harnesses, scope statements, the earlier systems, or a pilot - goes to hello@hyperorbits.com. It is read by the person who runs the company, and we reply within three working days.

Using this site means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site.

Every figure we publish was produced by running the experiment described beside it, and carries the configuration it was measured in. We do not publish a number without its scope.

All of it is simulation. Every result on this site was produced by simulating a quantum error correction circuit on classical computers. No figure we publish has been measured on quantum hardware, and none has been independently verified by a third party. Where that changes we will say so on the page the number appears on, and date it.

That scope is a boundary, not a formality. A result measured on one code, one noise model and one decoder is evidence about those conditions. It is not a guarantee about your code, your noise, your hardware or your latency budget, and you should not treat it as one. If you want to know whether it transfers, ask us for the seeds and the harness and check it yourself; we would rather you did.

We correct things. Where a published claim turns out to be wrong we withdraw it and say so rather than quietly editing it.

The text, figures, code and design on this site belong to us or our licensors. You may read it, quote it with attribution, and cite it in academic or technical work. If you intend to quote a figure, ask us for the scope statement behind it and we will send it, so that the number travels with its conditions.

You may not present our results as your own, and you may not copy or republish a substantial part of this site. All rights we have not expressly given you here stay with us.

You keep ownership of everything you send us: your code, your parity-check matrices, your noise model, your results and anything else in your message. We claim no rights in it.

You give us permission to use that material for one purpose only, which is doing the work you asked for and telling you what we found. Doing it means copying your files onto our machines and running them, and that permission goes no further than the work. We treat the material as confidential. We do not publish it, we do not pass it to anyone else, and we do not use it to tune anything for another party. If we ever want to refer to a pilot publicly we ask you first, and you can say no without it costing you anything. The same applies to a result we replicate for you: the report goes to you privately and nothing about it is published unless you choose otherwise. How long we keep it, and how to have it deleted, is in our privacy notice.

Please do not send us anything you are not free to send, and do not send export-controlled or classified material.

The systems listed on the Software page are supplied on request, free, as-is and unmaintained. They come with their tests and an honest account of what has been verified, and with no warranty, no support commitment and no guarantee that they will build on your machine.

Where a specific licence ships with a piece of that software, that licence governs it and overrides this section.

A tuning pilot is free: there is no charge and no invoice. Email hello@hyperorbits.com with the code and the noise model you want swept. We will reply within three working days to say whether we can take it on and what we would run. No work starts until we have both agreed by email what is being run and what you get back, and that email exchange is the whole of the agreement for the pilot.

Nothing on this website is an offer capable of acceptance. We may decline a pilot or be out of capacity for one, and we may stop offering pilots at any time; if we do, we will say so on the Work with us page before we stop, not after.

A pilot report is produced from the inputs you give us and describes the configuration we simulated and nothing else. It is information, not advice, and it is not a recommendation to change how you run your own systems. Decisions you take on the strength of it remain yours. We send the seeds and the counts with every report precisely so that you can check it rather than rely on us.

So far as the law allows, the site and its contents are provided without implied warranties, terms or conditions of any kind, including any implied term as to satisfactory quality or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free. This does not disclaim the statements we make about our own work: where we say how a result was produced, we mean it and we stand behind it.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data or anticipated savings, arising from your use of this site, of any software we supply on request, of any pilot report we send you, or of any other material you obtain from us. Everything we provide is free of charge, and, subject to the paragraph below, our total liability to you for everything else taken together is limited to 500 pounds. If you are a consumer that cap does not apply to you; instead we are liable only for loss that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or of our failing to use reasonable care and skill.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

If you are dealing with us as a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights.

Where we link to someone else's work, we do not control it and are not responsible for it. A link is a citation, not an endorsement.

These terms, and any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of this site, are governed by the law of England and Wales.

If you are using this site in the course of a business, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom in which you live, and you keep the protection of the mandatory law that applies where you live.

The version of these terms in force is the one published on this page. We may change them, and if we do the new version applies from the day it appears here; it does not change anything already agreed for a pilot, which stays on the terms in force when we agreed it. Last changed on 10 August 2026. If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. Nobody other than you and us has any right to enforce them.
